When voltage is applied to the coil, it creates a magnetic field that pulls a plunger or actuator inside the valve, opening or closing it and thus controlling the flow of water.The solenoid has a wire lead coming out of it, with a blue and brown wire indicating the DC power connections. These wires would be connected to the power source within the floor scrubber, allowing the valve to be controlled electronically, in response to signals from the machine's control system.
